For those of you not familiar with Akron, Highland Square is a great place to find unique shopping, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. One of the best shops is Square Records, a locally owned store offering a cool mix of music, magazines, hand-made accessories and other goodies. The will custom order hard-to-find albums, and are happy to discuss music, skateboarding, and other varied interests. So if you are looking for that certain Meat Beat Manifesto album to complete your collection, support a small business and order it through them. Square also shows artwork in an adjoining room. And on Wednesdays from 7 - 9 pm they host stitch n' bitch sessions for craft-induced therapy. Square Records is located at 824 W Market St in Akron, OH.
